EVENTS

Events bring our exhibitions to life, encouraging visitors to discover them differently. Whether it’s Queering Connections, which brings new perspectives to every exhibition at the Gallery, hands-on workshops in collaboration with university festivals, insights from visiting curator and artist talks, or standalone performances or happenings, these events are a vital part of our work. This section of the Archive documents events as a separate category of activity, but exhibition-related events can also be found via the exhibition pages.

Queering Connections: Soft Infrastructures: Queer Encounters with Bernat Klein

Gre and Heather nurture a practice of queer attunement—dwelling with Klein’s work to generate a performance shaped by intimacy, colour, and care.

Bernat Klein: A Lasting Legacy in Design

Speakers offered unique perspectives and insights into the energy and focus Bernat Klein brought to his work, as well as to his commitment to the exploration of new possibilities, as maintained through the many activities of the Bernat Klein Foundation.

Drypoint Printing by Shiho Dono

Shiho Dono is a Japanese artist born Hokkaido, Japan, and currently lives in Slovakia. She took participants on a walk to collect nature based items to be used to create an artwork or book.

Bernat Klein: Colour and Contexts

This research seminar brought together research that looks at Austrian Jewish Men’s clothing choices and meanings of colour in men’s dress, as a prelude to the forthcoming Bernat Klein exhibition in The Winchester Gallery 20th April – 30th May 2026.

Queering Connections Festival Weekend
